Stephen Valenta – President

Steven Valenta is a man who totally commits to what he does and one who really cares about his clients and employees. “As the owner of Offix, my role is to find and retain happy and smart people to help me grow the company. Right now I’m doing that for our new office in Richmond,” he said.

Although growing the business is important, providing the best possible customer service to clients is foremost on his list. Steve shows his strengths and leaderships skills by the way he and his team continually provide clients with excellence in customer service. A major factor in making this happen is that he fosters a work environment in which his employees thrive, both professionally and personally, and one in which they thoroughly enjoy themselves...

Kim Valenta – Vice President

Kim Valenta is Vice President of Finance and Operations with Offix. In the summer 2003 she started coming into the office because her husband, Steve Valenta, needed extra help at the time. Steve decided that she was such a great help that he hired her full-time! Kim tells us, “My background put me into the role that I am in at the moment because I have an operations and finance background. I am an operations-type person. That’s what I’ve done for the last 10-12 years.” Before starting at Offix, Kim was managing several major contracts for a large government contractor. In addition, she had gained financial experience as a comptroller for another company, where she dealt with pricing, costing, and cost-analyses. She brings over 30 years of solid business experience to Offix...

Anthony Murphy – Vice President of Sales

Anthony Murphy is the Vice President of Sales of Offix’s new facility in Richmond, Virginia. His role there is also to be both the Sales and the Service Managers. As Sales Manager, he guides four sales representatives. As Service Manager, he instructs and assists six technicians.

When recounting his start at Offix, Anthony commented, “Steve Valenta and I grew up together, and we also worked together 25 years ago as technicians, before we both went into sales. Steve approached me about starting and running the Richmond office. He knew that I had been in this line of business about as long as he had. I did the same thing he did as a service technician, and also had worked my way up into sales, which I have been in it for the last 14 years. He offered me the opportunity of a lifetime to do something that I have always wanted to do—get into management and use my ability and experience to really help other people...“

Steven Kibler – Solutions Specialist

When asked about his role as Solutions Specialist at Offix, Steven Kibler views it as taking care of the sales team and managing its members in their daily jobs and roles. But he does much more than that. With Steve’s strong background in IT, he understands every facet of Canon copiers and faxes, and assists clients with specifically tailored programming and networking which allow his customers to use their equipment in exactly the right way for their needs.

Steve comments, “We solve our customer’s document needs, which could range from copying to printing to document storage requirements. And we try to help bring down their cost of doing business.” By showing clients different ways to move away from desktop printers, which have a high cost-per-page rate, Steve shows them how a copier can print at a much lower rate...

Ron Robey – Director of Service

As the Director of Service at Offix, Ron Robey manages a team of nine service technicians. “I’m responsible for their daily activities and making sure that Offix supplies its customers with 100% customer satisfaction,” he comments. Although simply put, being the Director of Service involves a lot. In addition to his tasks, it’s his duty to also keep up with the latest training for the industry’s new hardware and software products. He is alsoin charge of the warehouse, where he makes sure there are enough parts and supplies for their customers and for their technicians to stock in their cars. Finally, he manages the recruiting, hiring, and training for the Service Department. Ron remarks, “One other thing that I am responsible for is assisting any one of my technicians who might need help getting to the core of a problem, who just can’t figure out what’s going on with the machine and system...

Julie Johnson – Contract Administrator

Julie Johnson brings to Offix a very strong background in customer service. Julie says, “With my background in customer service, I’m really good at problem solving and helping customers get what they need as far as service and how Offix works.” Recently promoted, Julie is now the Contract Administrator for Offix. She also assists the President and Vice President of Finance and Operations.

When Julie’s husband, also of Offix, told her that they were interviewing for a receptionist, she applied for the job and got it. She is really happy about being able to work at Offix, commenting, “We love it here. It’s great! It’s a family atmosphere and we are one big happy family. We have great company functions. There is always something challenging, but the people here make it fun...”
