Network/Install Technician (Entry Level)

The Network/Install Technician is an entry level position that will support the Software Solutions and Service Teams. This is an opportunity for someone to grow and progress with the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install computer hardware
  • Maintain the inventory of equipment
  • Monitor the performance of computer networks
  • Provide technical support for computer network issues, voice services and equipment
  • Deliver equipment to specified locations ensuring all established quality assurance standards are met
  • Provide customized training to end users
  • Troubleshoot all issues that arise during network installation, training and/or testing utilizing all resources available to ensure complete client satisfaction
  • Recommend changes to improve computer or information systems
  • Resolve computer network and software problems
  • Test computer hardware and software performance
  • Train others in computer interface or software use
  • Troubleshoot issues with computer applications or systems
  • Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends
  • Implement or recommend the implementation of new technologies
  • Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement
  • Determining and resolving operating errors
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Conducting routine equipment maintenance with the ability to update and repair as needed
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use
  • Research new technologies by attending seminars, reading trade articles, and/or taking classes
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • MUST HAVE – 1-2-year(s) network trouble shooting experience
  • Ability to learn/obtain A+ certification and network experience
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Superior multi-tasking skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service and people skills
  • Ability to lift 100+ lbs. safely
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • US citizenship required
